Why Presston.

No plastic in the brew path. Only stainless steel and LFGB grade silicone touch your coffee, and neither adds taste.

A full 12 oz cup. The 13.5 oz chamber yields a full 12 oz cup in a single press.

A cleaner cup by design. You brew base down, so fines settle away from the filter. When you flip and press, the larger grounds act as a natural prefilter.

No paper required. A reusable stainless steel filter is included. Paper filters are optional when you want an even brighter cup.

Strength. Beauty. Stainless Steel.

Presston delivers more than incredibly rich coffee. It’s crafted from stainless steel for a lifetime of use, with a design that feels at home in any environment. Elegant. Enduring. Essential.

How it brews.

1. Base down. Stand Presston on its base and add ground coffee and hot water.

2. Cap on. Thread on the cap and filter for a tight, clean seal.

3. Flip. Turn it over onto your cup. A gentle vacuum holds the coffee until you press.

4. Press. Press down steadily. All of the coffee passes through the filter, with nothing bypassing it.

Engineered Beyond Expectation.

Control rings in the cylinder maintain axial stability during brewing and extraction, delivering a smooth, precise press every time.

A tapered cylinder opening was engineered to reduce long-term stress on the piston head, extending its life during storage.

Precision mating between the cap and filter ensures a perfect seal. A quick-release handle makes disassembly effortless.

It’s rare to see a daily-use product engineered with this level of uncompromising precision. The Presston stainless steel brewer flawlessly executes the balance between form and function. As someone who spent years evaluating rigorous mechanical design, the heavy-duty craftsmanship of this machine immediately stands out. But the real achievement is the user experience: it reduces the friction of brewing premium coffee to near zero, delivering a consistently exceptional cup with remarkable speed. A truly brilliant piece of hardware.

This is such an amazing coffee maker. Definitely the best performing vaccuum coffee press out there. The stainless steel feels like it was made to surgical precision. The tolerances are tight. This thing just feels good and makes a great, non-acidic cup of coffee.

I never thought in a million years I would abandon my French press. Tried everything and always came back to it. Presston is my go-to now. The larger size means I only have to make 2 cups, and it is so easy to clean between uses. Very solid manufacturing. Great coffee. Definitely worth every penny.

Still working great after several months. I have used two size metal filters as well as paper and all deliver the same great taste. The coffee I have been drinking for years has never been this smooth. Many thanks for developing such a superior product.

I'm loving it! Presston makes a great cup of coffee and is a pleasure to use. It's also easy on the eyes which is always a bonus. Speaking of easy on the eyes, my lady friend loves the Presston as well. After trying a Presston brewed cup next to her french press cup she decided to to get rid of her french press saying "I can't drink that anymore".

It's the best press I've ever used. Consistently great, clean coffee, bright taste, compact and durable so you can take it anywhere.

Works great. There is a rattle in the end piece, probably manufacturing result. Doesn't impede function just annoying

Worthy competitor to the Aeropress for brewing a great cup of coffee!

Questions.

What touches my coffee?

Only stainless steel and LFGB grade silicone. There is no plastic in the brew path. Both materials are non reactive in hot water and will not add taste to your coffee.

Do I need paper filters?

No. Every Presston includes a reusable stainless steel filter. Paper filters are optional when you want an even brighter cup.

Why can't the piston be removed?

Control and consistency. The piston can't be pulled out by accident during the steep and flip, the press stays centered, and fines stay put until extraction. For a deep clean, the piston head comes off.

Do I have to flip it?

Yes. Brewing base down lets fines settle away from the filter. Then you flip onto your cup and press. That is how Presston gets a clean cup with less effort. The raised lip on the cap helps prevent spills during the flip.

What cups does it fit?

Any cup or mug with an opening from 5 to 10.5 cm (2 to 4 1/8 in). We test on ceramic, glass and stainless steel (and even paper cups).

How do I clean it?

Eject the grounds and rinse the piston head. A lower flange keeps coffee and rinse water out of the cylinder. Then rinse the cap and filter. For a deeper clean, you can remove the piston head.
